Garabaldi & the Tuya

Oil on Canvas, 20”x30” | 2026

Tuya: A rare flat-topped, steep-sided volcano that is formed when magma erupts and cools beneath a heavy sheet of glacial ice.

A subtle alpenglow appears over Mount Garabaldi and the Table (otherwise known as a ‘Tuya’). This was a moment captured and cherished following a snowy ascent and an unforgettable sunset dinner at the summit.
