Resplendent

Oil on Canvas, 24”x40” | 2026

Witnesses of a sunset typically direct their attention to the sun itself, but what is lesser seen and equally enchanting is the neighbouring, cascading gradient that lies next to the settting sun. Inspired by sunset hikes up Mt Seymour, I was privileged to witness this several times over the course of the summer.

Each day the sun sets. We only need to be present to witness this wordless magic and unforgettable resplendence.
